05/28/2010: "Memorial Day Weekend"

The day is starting out very rainy. I should be headed to the winery to mow instead of watching the rain fall. I guess I'll be backed up even more than normal, waiting for it to stop.
I got an email this morning that was forwarded by a friend about our County having a 2 million dollar shortfall. Commissioner John Dean says they'll have to raise our property tax to take care of it. I think it's past time to rob from the rich and give to the poor. Even Bill Gates Sr. recommends taxing the rich to pay for all the communities having money problems. A guy like Steve Ballmer could contribute a couple million and not even miss the money. There are many other rich residents who have made their fortunes off the little guy. BP oil comes to mind. Why would we even think about getting help from the tax-payer to clean up the oil spill. BP needs to step-up and use their own profits to take care of it. They are to blame so they should fix it.
I think we should heavily tax anyone who makes over 200,000 a year, and clear up all these deficits. How about taxing them the money they made for one year. The whole country would be out of debt and have cash reserves for a change. A one time tax unless we are stupid enough to let it get out of control again. My mind needs a rest. It's hard work thinking of solutions to change the world, so l think I feel like a nap! I must not have danced enough this morning so "Let's All Dance" instead.
