Memorial Day Weekend

The day is starting out very rainy. I should be headed to the winery to mow instead of watching the rain fall. I guess I'll be backed up even more than normal, waiting for it to stop.

The Dalai Lama On Today!

The Dalai Lama says that happiness is the most important thing in your life. I wish I could convince my youngest to try a little happiness. She's been stressed for too long. The last boyfriend has moved out. He was too good to be true, and that's all I'm going to say about the situation.
The wind has died down but the sky is still very dark. There was quite a storm that came through last night so I imagine all my accounts need to be cleaned up. I hope my daughter is up for helping me today, but until she has eased her mind about her health, I don't think she will feel like working. She finally qualified for health-care through the state so now she can get some tests run. I pray she'll finally get some answers.
I'm not getting anything done by sitting here so I'd better get movin.' "Let's All Dance!"

Mother's Day!

The only reason this Mother's Day wasn't absolutly perfect is because my youngest son wasn't here. I emailed him right before going to bed and asked if he had found another mother to spend the day with & to remind him how much I loved him, hoping to hear from him soon. I'm sure the reason is because I refuse to talk about religion with him. Doesn't he realize that it's not a very Christian thing to do, making a mother have to worry about one of her children especially on Mother's Day? It also worries me if he's being told not to stay in touch with his family by someone in whatever church he's involved in right now. The last I heard he was in a non-denominational church. It's still wrong to worry a mother.
My oldest daughter's family also wasn't here because they had other commitments but I at least get to see them most everyday with them living nearby. My step-son and his wife's family were here and his sister and her family, making it a great Mother's Day, so other than my son's absence it was a beautiful sunny day. We even took all 8 bullies for a walk in the neighbor-hood.
One of the pups went to my step-daughter's family to another state last night. I tried to convince them to take one of the other boys who hasn't had any health problems but they only had eyes for him.
Everyone loved my youngest daughter's new boyfriend, getting the family's approval. He is pretty great as long as it's not too good to be true, she should stop stressing about that part of her life.
I still feel her health problems are a direct result from stress. She told me she thinks there's a tumor somewhere in her stomach area and I immediately said for her to stop thinking that way. She can't afford health insurance so her mind probably won't stop having those fears unless she has a test showing her nothing's causing the pain.
I still haven't tried to convince them to start the day off with an hour or two of dancing. Get up on your feet and "Let's All Dance!"

I Feel The Need To Reacess The Situation!

The scale hasn't moved for over a week. I've had to think about why I've given in to the temptation of a tenderloin. I shouldn't have gone into the store after we finished at the vet's, but I was starving. Maybe eating only one a week won't stop the weight loss. I think the body needs that shot of protein now and then. At least that's my excuse for giving in.
My daughter is having health problems and it worries me what the cause is. Have I done anything that might have triggered it? Maybe I've been so into getting the accounts caught up so we can direct our attention on other things, that I haven't heard her call for help. She's been stressed out about not being able to get the house organized and everything put away, and all I've done is think about the help I need. I'm going to suggest she give up the mowing and take care of the house instead. Her boyfriend can do the mowing then I won't be so anal about the weedeating by doing it myself. For example, I put the weedeater in my grandson's hands last night then noticed him not being careful around the plants. I should have warned him about going so fast instead of expecting him to do it the way I would. I'm not a very good boss because I expect things done a certain way but I fail to communicate how I prefer it done. I just expect everyone to know how to do it right.
As I was drifting off to sleep I remembered that I once again didn't thank them for all they did and kissed them goodnight. It's not something I think about because I don't expect them to thank me for anything. I know they appreciate what I do for them but I don't expect them to thank me. I think that's probably a flaw in the way I think, I need to communicate better. My silence could be mistaken for not caring and that's the furthest thing in my mind. Nothing's more important than the happiness of all my children. Period.
The sun is shining so it's time for me to get ready for work. "Let's All Dance," instead.

Hooray!! 123 Days Sober!

I finally heard from my brother, he's on the mend although he broke his leg 8 weeks ago but just got the cast removed. If he can get sober while dealing with a broken leg then he'll be able to stay sober. I haven't communicated with him since his last email. He was ranting at someone in his email list, so I don't know who it was directed at. It was something he had to get off his chest. I just pray he can let go of the past and stay sober and drug free.
The wind is blowing but the sun is out. When it dies down I hope we can get at least a few accounts done. I'm sure they will all have to be cleaned up after the storm we had through the night. They say we had 49 mph gusts. I'll be glad when the winds give way for summer so the accounts will stay clean more than a few days, and I'll be saying, "Lets All Dance!"
