06/21/2010: "Starting Over!"
I'm feeling the last 2 years have been for nothing with my weight back to 154. The only good thing that's happened is I've given up more of the bad foods we shouldn't be eating. I love this time of the year when the organic gardens are producing all the fresh vegetables and fruit for us to choose from. Now if I can just give up the banana/cranberry bread and the chocolate chip cookies the gardner makes to sell at the market, and I've also taken a break from the wine I've been drinking with dinner. It's got to be one of the reasons I'm still not down to where I want to be. I'm still refusing to give up the organic seeded/sourdough bread and butter. It just can't be that bad for you.
I told my daughter that she was a bad influence on me when she asked me to buy some Starbuck's ice cream. Even though I bought skinny cow sandwiches for me, sometimes I found I needed 2 to satisfy me. Now she is even getting serious about losing weight so I have to limit what I bring into the house to eat. We're having a pool party for her birthday on Saturday, but there's no way I'll be in a bathing suit. I hope everyone that's invited will be here. It's been way too long for the family to get together.
Well it's time to go to work now that the rain has stopped. Even though it's the first day of summer, it feels like winter. I'll be glad when our summer really starts on July 5th. When it comes "Let's All Dance."
