08/02/2010: "I've Finally Gotta Grip!"
I'm waiting for the fog to lift so I can get to work. I could go anyway but I think I'll catch up on things instead. Yesterday stayed hazy all day but it's because of the fires in Canada. The shadows on the ground looked very weird. The sun only broke through the smoke a few times creating orange shadows.
I'm headed back down the scale again. Since I've given up all things bad for me, the only thing left was my wine and Bloody Mary's (in the summer). As soon as I stopped drinking, I noticed my waist start to get smaller.
I haven't felt that I could say anything to my brother about his problems, since I was still drinking everyday. The only differences is the amount I consumed which is way less than he does and I'm not addicted to anything and never have been. My daughter and I didn't miss the wine with dinner or the Bloody Mary's on hot days. I did find a bottle of wine on the front seat of my truck with my check taped to it from the manager of the winery I mow, so we had to drink it to get rid of it, but now we are back to business and just having water with dinner.
He had such a great chance after going through detox, to quit drinking but as soon as he was able, he went right back to doing it. I'm sure he never felt he could stop, he just went through the motions for the courts.
He made it to his neices birthday but thought it was my birthday which was 5 months ago. I could tell he was on some heavy drugs but I'm sure it was prescribed by whatever doctor he's seeing now. He even gave my daughter a fifth of Patron after he was told whose birthday it was. He went to his car to get it, so I'm thinking he bought it for himself.
A friend of mine who is also a bulldog lover, told me her husband's doctor walks into the exam room with a prescription pad and asks "What can I get you?" Look what the doctors did to Michael Jackson.
The doctors should be prosecuted the same as the heroin dealers for getting people hooked on addictive drugs.
He's had to stay loaded for years because he can't deal with his past and the doctors have made it possible for him to stay numb to reality. He just can't focus on the now, instead he's drowning in the past.
Now I'm disappointed in the behavior of my niece's son and his friends. While they spent the weekend at my oldest daughter's house, the hoodlums trashed the rock house by kicking in a couple of rows of rocks off the top and broke more of the roof off, beams, and took the door off it's hinges. I'm suggesting consequences for their actions, like having to scoop a week's worth of horse poop out of all 7 pastures. My niece hasn't responded yet from my suggestion in an email to her with a video of the damage to the rock house. I'm sure she thinks it's none of my business but I have to be reminded of it everytime I'm there.
The fog has lifted but the sun is still hidden so I might as well get busy. First I have to make an appointment to get the boys neutered at Oasis, across the Sound. But first, "Let's All Dance."
