12/28/2008: "Hooray! The Snow Is Almost Gone."
I finally made it out of my driveway although I had to put it into 4WD to get out, only to find that my hill was the only bad spot left. I even made it to my biggest account, the one that's the farthest away. I was afraid of what I'd find, thinking the driveway must have had a ton of snow and with the drain at the bottom I feared it would have been covered over and the water might have flooded the garage, but thankfully there wasn't a bit of snow on the driveway, only a lot of branches that must have come down during that last storm we had. I was able to get most of the driveway blown before I ran out of gas. The beaver at the lake has also been very busy so I had to spend some time clearing his dam away from the overflow. The lake is about 5 inches higher than normal with all the melted snow runoff and his little dam so I'm glad I was finally able to deal with it.
The sore I get every few years on my face has popped out again. I'm beginning to believe it comes whenever I get totally stressed out like I was after finding baby Berta dead. I couldn't stop crying for 2 days and I still just need to think of her and the tears will come easily but at least now I can go shopping at the grocery store without crying everytime someone tells me how sorry they are.
I'm using the $70.00 ointment I had to get for my husband for the sore on his leg. Medicare wouldn't cover it but would pay for the tubes of the cheap stuff even though they don't work. How much sense does that make? Friends of Home Health came to the rescue and paid for it, thank goodness for them. So I hope it works for my face too.
