03/01/2010: "Down A Pound, Whoopee!"

I'm so tired of getting on the scale and not seeing any good results. It's getting very depressing. Now I see why Oprah has given up and just accepts the fact that she'll never get back to her size 8's. She has even cleaned out her closets of all her clothes that she'll never fit into again and is selling them on Ebay. I refuse to get rid of my small clothes and am determined to get into them some day. They are only about 10 years out of date so maybe they will be back in style by the time I get into them.
This time it was those damn girlscouts standing outside my bank with that look in their eyes, "please buy my cookies?" So of course I had to contribute to the cause, "be-cause" I have no will power. I only cheat a little bit most every day but I'm not licked yet. It's something I'll conquer before I die.
My wonderful neighbor is ready to take walks every day with the puppies as soon as they get their shots. I asked her to help me name the last boy. I had decided to give her the pup if she'll agree to foster the one my daughter wants but can't have right now with her present living arrangements. I hope she'll agree, then I won't have to sell any to some stranger and they will be right across the street. I haven't told her yet because I haven't found the right words that will make it happen. She does so much for everyone and never expects anything in return but I really want her to have one of my babies. When you look at their adorable faces I can't see how anyone could resist. She's just been a godsend and I truly think of her as an angel who's been sent to me to help where ever she can. She hasn't started dancing with me yet but I hope to get her up earlier in the mornings as soon as the pups are able to stand on the slippery floors. Then I'll be saying, "Let's All Dance"!
