11/06/2008: "Hi again Steve Ballmer"

I thought I'd share with you some more ways I've imagined about changing the world.
For everyone that commutes every day to an office to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours, how about tele-commuting. Just think about how many people would be off the freeways, our traffic mess would be resolved. As long as you can still maintain the same quality of work, why not do it at home. They could save so much money on clothes, gas, car repairs, food, and even child care. The community center could be the help that's needed to care for the children while their parents work from home. Without the worry of child care you'd be free to do your best work.
Your company has made it possible to be able to do just that. The employers would have instant access to their employees with all the technology that's available.
I'd also bring home our soldiers and put them into all the empty foreclosed houses and give them low interest government backed loans for a period of three to five years at which time they'd have to refinance with another lender.
The government shouldn't be bailing out the mortgage companies, they should be directly helping the citizens. I bought my home 22 years ago with the help from FMHA, a government backed low interest loan. When I had to refinance to pay off mounting credit card debt, about 7 years later, FMHA doubled their money from the original investment. I think that makes more sense than bailing out the guys who are expecting their yearly bonuses in the millions.
Adjustable rate mortgages should also be done away with. The interest rate has dropped 6 times this year, twice in the month of October, but last week I got a letter saying my payment will be going up at the first of the year because of the current index value based on the Wall Street Journal six month libor. Whatever the hell that means. Somethings just not right with how they figure that.
